I constantly remind myself to stay away from the bad stuff, even though I am in love with desserts. Rejecting desserts, and saying no to them, will be like a really bad breakup. Unless you're someone who like breakups. I am overweight, and I face that fact now. For example, if you were alcoholic, it would be stupid to drink when the alcohol is pretty much killing you. Pretty much the same case with obesity. Would you go near where everybody eats and there's food all over? Alas, I'm a broken woman, struggling to get away from my comfort, and facing the complexities of dieting. Apparently, saying NO is an essential part of dieting.

Bigatin!
One of the things some people find hard to believe is the fact that I have grown from a 135 lbs to 200 in just 5 years. Some people may remember me as someone who has always been fat. People from my haggard college days would say I was starved, but still too fat for theatre. For some, I was just right. My "Bessie," Brian, would tell you I was so hot I make heads turn. Kaya kami friends. Hahaha!
Truth is, I have been battling with being chronically overweight all my life. I practically lived with a food pusher (my mom) who defined love by shoving food to me and would get hurt if I didn't eat. When I started living independently, things got a little better, because I was more conscious of what I ate, how I looked. Everything went downhill when I started working because these people at work keeps on feeding us with all these delicious junk. And the job also required sitting on my ass for 8 hrs.
Then came baby 1. Then 2. Finally (yes, I mean it) 3.

Once in a while I treat myself to Starbucks
Not my everyday treat. :) After all, Php 140 is dumb for a cup of coffee. LOL. I gave up gourmet coffee, in exchange for more toys for my kids. Hah! The sacrifices mothers make. If I were like Britney I'd buy not just a latte, I'd buy the whole store! :D And if and when I do get to Starbucks, it becomes extra special! Because I miss it! Served best with a hangover. LOL.
Blogging Anew
I went on a blogging hiatus for the whole of 2010. I never got around to it, since my fixation with Facebook is stronger. If facebooking was a real job, like sales, or showbiz, I would be rolling on dough right now. Microblogging about my life and getting updates on my friends seem easier with facebook. Now I wish Facebook had a blog feature. Which you can make public, or set some posts to private for your friends' eyes only, but generally should be available publicly, where you have your own www.facebook.com/robelle/blog url. So far everything users post are limited to friends. Why not share it to the world? Now I should sell this idea to Mark Zuckerberg. Then get him in a lawsuit so he'll settle gazillions of cashola with me. LOL. Dreaming is free.

UP Fighting Maroons: It's Never Too Late to Dream

Every year the UAAP season is a much anticipated occasion where students, most especially UP students, momentarily forget about acads and get in the "school spirit," jump and shout ever so loudly at the Araneta. UP shines at everything else--- except basketball. I would hear people say that there's nothing we can do about it, at least we had fun! :P UP's great with everything else but Pinas being a basketball country makes a big fuss about UP not making it in basketball in 23 years (since the '86 time of Benjie Paras).
