Aprica Philippines Launch

Aprica, founded in 1949, and has been the premium, safety first brand shared by parents all over the the world with their babies. They have a wide range of baby gear, including sturdy, aluminum strollers, car seats and furniture. Truly a global brand, they can be found in Europe, Asia Pacific, the Middle East and the United States.

Aprica Philippines successfully launches its top-of-the-line baby gear at the Power Plant Mall. Trusted doctors give talks on infant travel and safety as well as what parents should know before bringing their kids to the doctor. This was followed by a product fashion show, and 2 lucky moms get to go home with an Aprica Stick and Aprica Cookie Stroller which I really wanted. Tessa Prieto-Valdez graced the event and shared her own Aprica experience with the crowd.

Matt's First Barbershop Mano-y-Mano

We wanted to grow Mateo's hair, but due to a bacterial infection, pedia ordered a full skinhead 'do for the little tyke. We went to that kiddie salon in Robinson's Galleria which specializes in kiddie haircuts where cartoons played while all the snipping and snapping is done.  Unfortunately, there were 5 kids on queue so we decided to find another salon.

We ended up at GQ Barbershop at the Shangri La Plaza Mall. I know for a fact that barbershops make  the best skinheads. :D

I know, my top is wanting to explode.

Not! Like!

Buzzing at my ear

Must not move. So I will live.

We started off happily.

And then he started to wrestle

squirm agonize, fidget, flounder, shift, twist, wiggle, wriggle, writhe

Then whine

Finally, cry.

Baby Ama

Nearly done

Viola! Thanks, Mr. Barber! (Mom looks like she's been to war)

Manny Pacquiao Mukhasim Datu Puti TVC

Classic pantanggal-badtrip. If you're having the worst day of your life, watch this.
All your troubles will melt away. GUARANTEED!
I'm about to fall off my seat from laughing.
Oh, Manny, I LOVE YOU.
And! I am a new Mommy Dionisia convert. Patunay ka na hindi pa huli ang lahat.
"Roach": May ASIM pa si Mommy.
Dionisia: May TOYO ka yata eh!

PS. Boxing is not for killing. -- Manny P.

Maybe I should buy more Datu Puti so Manny and Mommy D's commercials keep on coming. This is the first time I want a sequel of a commercial. (Remember Surf?) More! More! More!

Puey Quinones

Right now I can hear my the voices of my professors from UP over and over again saying how plagiarism is equal to death.

This unfortunate incident happened to couple Jhon Maala and Shea Gamboa, who paid P30,000 in cash for the double-labeled suit. Dansen is a straight-off-the-rack suit sold at SM Department Store and Robinson's. Read more of couple's nightmare here

Quinones just sent his career to the gallows. I'm not quick to condemn, but hey, if this happened to me, I will burn his shop down! Or, I will remove all of his fingers so that he can never draw nor stitch ever again! But that's just me. I would be terribly heartbroken if somebody deliberately ruined my wedding. And out of greed.

Dreaming of a Bahay Kubo

I am dreaming of my very own beautiful bahay kubo, I am thoroughly convinced that despite the practicality of concrete houses, the bahay kubo is still the most charming, heartwarming, organic and simply the best house adapted to tropical living. It only looks more rustic over time, not run-down, invites great insulation and ventilation. Plus the materials are sustainable, readily available and relatively inexpensive.

I can only imagine wrapping myself in a thick blanket with the aircon on full blast and waking up to the wonderful bounty of nature. Or the glorious view of the sea.

One day soon, mine, you will be.
