How to Plan Your Own Wedding by Rockwell

I have attended several Rockwell events before and it has never failed to impress. They usually present the best merchants, the gems among the crevices, of what's out there-- be it fashion, planning your own parties and bazaars. They make it easy to discern the tacky and tasteless, to the select tried-and-tested, high quality yet affordable services that work within your budget. Their latest event offering-- in time for Valentines-- How to Plan Your Own Wedding, held at The Grove by Rockwell, along C-5 in front of Tiendesitas, Pasig City.

Anyhow, it's amazing to see what people spend do for love-- to make sure their special day becomes an affair to remember for the rest of their lives.

By the way, one lucky couple got to win a honeymoon for 3D/2N to Bellaroca Island Resort in Marinduque, with airfare! I happened to be standing a table from them when the winner's name was announced. I was actually thrilled for them. How lucky!

It's so nice to see couples doing this together. The guys are as into planning their wedding as the girls are. Or maybe some are afraid that their soon-to-be brides won't go over the budget! Or maybe there are some grooms who are more OC than the bride. I have yet to see a "groomzilla" hee-hee.

Wedding planners start at P25,000 for the whole affair

A favorite macarons maker, Christa's - these macaron lollipops are at only P18 a pop.

Oh just look at the cakes!

Cakes range from P6,500 (3 layered) to P15,000 (5 layered).
You can opt for even grander cakes to give your centerpiece that extra umph.

I wish I my house was like this: with ample light and ventilation

A super friendly wedding caterer from Chef Jessie's.
They did Roxanne Guinoo's wedding and several of Sharon Cuneta's occasions.

Photo and Video packages range from P25,000 to 85,000

The booth filled with hip, good looking and young photographers. My cam doesn't do them justice.
Wish I were single and wasn't lugging a baby with me. Lol. Their samples looked awesome too.
They give all their raw photos, about 150 edited photos, and an album with a lifetime warranty.

Young entrepreneurs own and operate this mobile bar.

The buffet was really good! Though I only managed to taste a few. Their packages range from P700-1200 per head.
I have a bag full of information with me but I haven't had the chance to go through it. But just to give you an idea, if you want to have a grand, nicely done wedding, be prepared to shell around 300k for a modest and private wedding and as much as 500k for a grand wedding befitting of a queen. :D But in the end, it's the marriage of two people that would really count, and not how much you spent for the wedding. It's really a matter of making memories last, like how memorable it is going to be for you and your beloved. If you are going to get married, you only do it once, so you better do it right. :)

Good luck in making your dream wedding!
